A large violin/ violon-alto by Antoine Marius Richelme, Marsaille, 1873. LOB of 37. Richelme was a pioneer when it came to acheiving good tone with his instruments. This model’s longer body allows for better response with the lower registers but is still comfortable to work with because of the steeply-angled shoulders. The long f-holes, modelled after Del Gesu, have been elongated and were done with the purpose of giving increased projection.
