This is a violin made in france presumably by G. Apparut or Colin- It is approximately 100 years old. A maker label is not included, instead there is a label stating the violin is made by Guarneri Del Gesu. It is fullsize. It is of exceptional quality and workmanship, honestly it is one of the nicest violins I have ever seen- yes I prefer the looks of this violin over a real Stradivari or Guarneri violin. With synthetic strings- Dominants by Thomastik, it has a wonderful tone perfect for a concert soloist. Luckily for you, this violin sounds like a Stradivarius but costs a fraction of the price.
I have now fitted this violin with luxurious hill type boxwood pegs and a tailpiece, the chinrest is by Gewa.
