This is a violin (no.911) made by the Wolff Brothers (Leopold and Ferdinand) in Germany, 1891.
The violins made in the Wolff Brothers workshop were all made to the highest of standards and are renowned for their exceptional workmanship. This violin in particular only has two repairs (to the front) and is in a great state of visual presentation, considering it’s age.
This violin is able produced a wide range of clear tones, powerful enough for a professional soloist.
