With over 10 years experience in selling stringed instruments and a variety of resources at hand in observing the growth of this market, I can offer both informal appraisals, and written valuations for insurance purposes. These valuations reflect the cost in replacing an instrument if it is lost, stolen, or written-off.

A written valuation will cost £50 or 1% of the appraised value, whichever is higher. I am happy to provide these free of cost for any instrument or bow purchased from me.

In some cases I may ask you to leave your instrument with me so I can be sure of my opinion. If the instrument is speculative in origin and I am unsure, I will be more than happy to recommend another shop/colleague to carry out your valuation.
