A fine silver-mounted violin bow by Franz Albert Nürnberger Sr. The bow’s stick is octagonal, and has an overall length of 742mm and a weight of 62.1g. The bow handle bears the *ALBERT NÜRNBERGER* family’s stamp.

Franz Albert Sr lived from 1826-1894, and is a key member in the most-renowned German bowmaking family. This bow speaks for itself in showing quality, and my favourite aspect is the head shaping – See the photo comparing ours with the example in the authoritative German bow book

The condition & presentation is good overall, where there are no crack repairs – the frog and handle have minor wear repair. A condition report is available for this bow
